Time goes by and it is absolutely impressive that the American Republican Party does not develop the decency to stop using fear-mongering as a electoral strategy. In Brasil, it was apparently introduced in the 2002 campaign, when Regina Duarte (a famous actress and ever-since a target of teasing) said she "was afraid" of what might happen if Lula was elected.
McCain's latest is that Hamas would prefer Obama to be elected. Fair enough, the Democratic Party has a shorter history on violating the basic principle of international law of non-intervention in domestic affairs.
