A few weeks ago, Ralph Nader, announced his candidacy for the White House. In 2000, Nader was criticized for having taken votes off Gore in the key state of Florida (note double meaning), thus supposedly handing the win to Bush. (Its no fair criticism, but criticism isn't made to be fair anyway.) With 48% of Americans saying they would vote for McCain, the same is feared to happen now.
However, Bob Barr might have come to save the day. A former republican, he declared he'd seek the nomination for presidential candidacy from the Libertarian Party, also a right-wing party. Barr has absolutely no chance of winning the oval office, but with that right-wing stance and profound criticism on McCain, he actually might seize some republican votes and open a more comfortable margin for the democrats.
Long live libertarians!
